Active has once again proved his superb consistency following the April proof and is showing why he is still so popular for many customers. His milk has again increased from 400kgs to 426kgs whilst maintaining his excellent components, fertility index, lifespan and also an increasing high PLI of £152.

Active only added 1 daughter from 1 herd for production and figures remained stable with the exception of an increase in lifespan. No daughters were added for type and there was marginal improvement for type, udders and feet and legs. Active continues to transmit all that is good from his parents - outstanding type, fertility and longevity traits of Iron and high production from his dam, a Manfred daughter from the famous American Allie family.

Active has 145 daughters in 125 herds in production, made up of 85 in 72 in Italy and 60 in 53 in Germany, and on the whole remained consistent. Lifespan increased slightly from 0.3 to 0.4, FI improved from 2.3 to 2.8 and PLI increased from £170 to £178.
He has 113 daughters in 96 herds, made up of 37 in 33 in Germany and 76 in 63 in Italy. Type proof also remained consistent. Active daughters are well balanced and stylish as you would expect from his sire stack and bred from the Neu-Way Patron Allie cow family.

Active remains one of the most respected EU bulls. The addition of 2 daughters in 1 herd for type maintains the same type merit as January at 1.23. Production daughters in herds remained the same as did the production profile. Breeders looking for health and fitness traits with good production need look no further than Active.

Actives type profile has remained consistent this proof run. He improves on milk, up from 529kgs to 556kgs which in turn has increased his PLI from £177 to £181 pushing him up the rankings from 19th to 14th place. Lifespan has also improved by 1 point from 0.3 to 0.4.

The active daughters have good stature and display a lot of width, openess and capacity from head to tail. The udders have a strong median suspensory and very correct teat placement. Active breeds very uniformly, also when it comes to two typical Manfred traits, strong character and remarkable fertility'
