    BULL OF THE WEEK: JANGO

Being one of the last from a large group of Jocko sons, Jango (at Masterrind) received less publicity. This does not minimize his tremendous qualities, however. At 140 RZG he ranks in the German top 5, and at 141 RZE is one of the top German type bulls. Moreover, he rates neutral to favorable for the most prominent fitness traits. Add to this his exceptional pedigree: with Jango coming from the renowned brood cow Sutane VG-89, who is a daughter of the fitness phenomenon Lukas. Next is a VG-87 Nick daughter. Jango?s strongest points include frame, udder, feet and legs, and milk - all within a very complete transmitting pattern.

    (Holstein International, Nov 08)

Jango is the full package! He ranks 7th for type merit and 16th for udders in the UK. Combined with a production profile of +718 kgs milk and 49kgs combined fat and protein his PLI is £178.

His daughters are medium sized with positives on all body traits and a desirable angularity score of 0.

He is not the best producer of semen and semen is therefore limited.

    (updated KL Aug 08)

'The Jango daughters have shown a huge production increase from first to second lactation of about 2000kgs milk.
