Prince has a pedigree stacked full of highly reliable health and fertility sires. His sire Britt Gap has 95 UK daughters and scores +2 for FI, +0.5 LS and -17 SCC. His sire Rudolph has over 16000 UK daughters and scores +4.8 FI, +0.5 LS and -10 SCC. The bottom line is a real concentrate of health sires, all originating from Italy. Mtoto, also the sire of Picston Shottle has over 4000 daughters in the UK and scores +0.8 FI, +0.3 LS and -28SCC. And then Sabbiona Skywalker, a bull sold by Dairy Daughters, now has 968 UK daughters and scores +1.8 FI, +0.4 LS and -14 SCC. Prince's daughters are continuing the trend. He is currently joint 1st for SCC in the UK with -33%. He made his debut in April 2009 and came straight in at No 2 with -31%SCC, since then he has held on to the No 1 position. He is an ideal bull for commercial farmers looking for trouble free, long life cows.

Prince added 5 daughters in 3 herds for production this time and another 4 daughters in 3 herds for type. He continues to excel on his fitness traits improving on SCC from -30 to -33 now ranking him Joint 1st overall,Lifespan has increased from 0.2 to 0.3 and PLI jumped by £24 from £103 to £127. Prince also offers great type which increased this proof run from 1.19 to 1.28 and feet have soared from 1.36 to 1.65. Prince is an elite health and fitness sire with excellent production, management traits and type. With a 'no holes linear', Prince is one of the best all round bulls available in the UK right now.

Prince added 3 daughters in 2 herds for production and increased milk by 31kgs. Fat and Protein also increased marginally. He also added 4 daughters in 1 herd and improved on type and udders. He remains the perfect all round commercial bull suitable for farmers concentrating predominantly on health and fitness traits.

NEW FARM BRITT PRINCE is a BRITT son (BRITT was a RUDOLPH x NICK) from VG88 MTOTO from SKYWALKER...a real Italian pedigree on the bottom side, which is part of the reason he is being used heavily as a sire father in Italy. Also a great pedigree for health traits which makes PRINCE the commercial type of bull with excellent health traits (115 SCC, 107 Longevity, 103 Fertiliy and 102 calving ease) with moderate milk, but high components. We inspected 5 PRINCE daughters and truly found them to be honest commercial type cows with great balance on all areas. They have an ideal square body shape (dairy strong) and stronger bone quality - the type of cows that come to work every day and pay the bills. Moderate stature and strength cows with a nice deep rib and rump width - the kind that look like they get pregnant easily because they can keep body condition. This balance carries through in the udders as well. Above average on all areas, but especially excellent in udder texture and cleft. For best results, use PRINCE on cows with a longer, more snug fore udder. The PRINCE daughters have a bit of set to the leg, but a good foot angle. The major trait I did not see compared to his linear is rump angle, which shows him slightly high...I saw the opposite in 4 of the 5 daughters. Four of the daughters had a lot of slope and the fifth was level from hook to pin. In summary, PRINCE is a bull that will fit really well over the a lot of different bloodlines and can help add a bit of bone strength to those cows that need an infusion of longevity.

Prince added 9 daughters in 5 herds for production, now 96 in 78 and increased milk from 225 to 293, an increase of 68kgs. His SCC score of -32 ranks him joint 1st in the UK. He is ranked 3rd overall in Italy. He added 14 daughters in 9 herds for type, now 80 in 67 and slipped a bit but still remains an ideal choice for farmers wanting smaller functional cows with good component milk and health traits.

Prince is one of the best bulls around for management traits and will interest farmers looking for profit through milk components, fertility, cell counts and functional type. He transmits over 220 kgs of milk with +0.07% fat and +0.03% protein giving him a £PLI of £140. He has a +0.2 fertility index, +0.3 Lifespan and ?31 cell count. His linear shows that his daughters are medium sized with strength and width, correct rumps and steep-heeled feet. Udders are well attached with a strong support and teats of an ideal length. He is bred by Fantasy Britt Gap (a son of Rudolph) out of an Mtoto dam and then back to a Skywalker, so a full Italian pedigree for this newcomer who has no BW Marshall or Durham in the pedigree.

0.2 Fertility Index and 0.3 Lifespan, again a perfect health and fertility sire. He is currently ranked Number 2 in Italy, in addition his phenomenal Cell Count score of -31% ranks him 2nd in the UK. He currently has 225kgs Milk, 14.1kgs Fat (+0.07%) and 9.7kgs Protein (+0.03%). Type Merit is 1.77, Udders are 1.36 and Feet & Legs are 1.85. Daughters are non extreme with only 0.92 Stature but maintain strength and width with ideal level rumps. Prince is backed by 3 generations of fitness sires. |
