About Moon-Line CEDRIC:
Cedric has remained very strong in the April proof this time with adding 8 daughters in 4 herds for type and 3 daughters and 1 herd for production. This bull will appeal to farmers who wish to breed excellent health and management traits into their herds with a bull that is sired by the excellent world class number 1 bull Oman.

Cedric didn't add any daughters to his production proof but existing daughters did improve milk, fat and protein, fertility index and cell count by 4 points. He added 30 daughters in 25 herds for type, now 110 in 74 and remained consistent for type, udders and feet and legs. He offers a well balanced type profile with good production and management traits but he excels on chest width at 2.48 which is typical of his sire Oman and sire of his dam, Blitz.

The Cedric daughters remind me more of his maternal grandsire Fustead Emory Blitz than of his sire Oman Manfred Justice. The Cedric daughters are quite tall and strong with a gentle slope to their rumps with correct legs and a deep heel on well shaped feet. Their udders are nicely shaped and carried well above their hocks. Cedric does transmit production and health traits much like his famous sire with high components, low somatic cell, high productive life and exceptional daughter pregnancy rate. His calves are born easily as his 6% calving ease rating indicates. Cedric was well sampled in the Accelerated Genetics young sire program (Pace) with well over one-hundred daughters on his production proof. Cedric is certainly one of our best all-around breed improvers.
