(updated kl April 2010)
"Mergim is a exciting son of Conant-Acres Merv (Merv 2) from Simba EX 91, a trouble-free Storm daughter from a lineage of hard-working, long-lasting cows at the Wiebusch family farm. His sire Merv 2 is a Mandel son from the very well-known Sweet family. Mergim daughters are medium-sized cows with good depth of body and average front-end strength. Rumps are wide, long and sometimes level. Feet and leg structure is excellent with superior foot angle, good leg set, clean hocks, great mobility and parallel when viewed from behind. Rear udders are high and wide with super udder cleft. Mergim is a calving ease bull that sires trouble-free, functional cows with high production and exceptional components. With breed-improving indices for somatic cell score, functional herd life, fertility, milking speed and milking behavior, Mergim is a must-use outcross sire for every dairy herd" |
